Our Garden is Growing

This is not a very good picture but you get the idea...
This year I really wanted to be on the ball and grow a great garden. Last year was okay but We got a very late start and our soil is not that great. My Dad brought us a load of compost, thank you thank you. We used Kent's tiller and got the ground ready. Our peas have not sprouted yet maybe we jumped the gun but if they don't come up in another week we can replant. I am excited to see how well the plants I started in the basement are doing. I just took some little disposable cups like the dixie bathroom cups (but I used the walmart brand since they are made of a plastice material and wont soak through like the wax paper ones) then I labeled each one and filled it with potting soil and planted them about a month ago on a pet heating pad I had laying around just because our basement is kinda cold. I water them about every five or so days and they are doing so well I hope it warms up for good so I can get them planted outside.

  1. Isn't having a garden so magical?! This year we have our very own garden and I get so excited when I see new sprouts coming up - I take pictures of everything, it's kind of rediculous!

  3. How awesome to have a garden. I think it is more exciting that you started from scratch in your basement. Good Job!
You have such a cute family. I wish you lived closer so we could let our kids play. Hope all is well with you guys. Talk to you later.
